First Blog-iversary

It's hard to believe it's almost been a year. I remember writing my first post. I was at Jordan's computer  because my laptop had stopped working. I hadn't been looking at blogs for long, and hadn't found very many that I liked yet. Didn't take long to find so many wonderful ones though.

I started thins blog because I wanted to keep our friends and family, who lived out of state, up to date on our lives. It started out only about our house and family things, then I found fashion blogging and wanted to try my hand at that.

This little blog has grown more that I hoped for. Thank you all for sticking with me.

Story's Fourth Birthday {Superhero}

This past Sunday (6/3) we celebrated Story's fourth birthday! She wanted a Superhero themed party. We had the party at Grandma Pike's house. Everyone was supposed to dress up. I won't get too wordy here, just let the pictures speak for themselves :)

 We had a simple spread. Peanut butter and jelly triangles, fruit (so much fruit...) veggies, and a meat and cheese platter.

The decorations were sparse. Mainly because it was so windy. I put several different things up and they all kept falling down.

Her actual birthday was on the following Wednesday (6/6)

coming out of her room. I woke her up earlier than usual so that we could have breakfast with Jordan before he left for work.

Birthday waffle with jelly.

We painted and played all afternoon. 

She wanted a picnic outside.

After her dad came home we went to Monkey Joe's!

Overall I think she had a really fun time. In her words, "it was the best birthday I've ever had!"
