Finley Jane : Sixth Month

Week Twenty Two

Week Twenty Three

Week Twenty Four

Week Twenty Five

Weight/Length
Finley now weighs 15.1 pounds and is 25 inches tall! She's very petite, but is right on track according to her growth curve. She is in the lower 25% but her pediatrician isn't concerned.

Sleep
On occasion she will sleep through the night. She is still going to bed around 9:30 and then waking up around midnight to nurse. Then up again between 4-5. She has been sleeping in later, so that's nice! She will take a morning nap around 10:30 if she gets up around 8:00 and will sleep for a solid hour. Then another nap in the afternoon and sometimes one in the evening.

Eating
Baby girl still likes to eat! We've gone through all of the Stage 1 food, and there isn't anything she doesn't like. She loves to feed herself, so Little Crunchies, rice cakes, and cereal pieces have been a big hit. She's gotten a lot better at getting almost all of the food in to her mouth. She's still nursing very frequently. We did introduce formula. We tried Enfamil Gentlease first, and she hated it. We then switched to Enfamil A.R. and she's doing a lot better with that. We were also given the okay to start pretty much any table food as long as it is the right consistency.

Diapers
Still in size 2. We've (thankfully) started using less diapers. She is changed on average between 5-7 times. She's pooping about once a day. So that's a nice change for sure. Still using Luvs and loving them.

Clothing
She is still in 3-6 month clothing. A few 3 month fit. She has a few 6 month items that fit nicely as well. She can finally, most of the time, wear a size 1 in shoes.

Mood
Fussy, fussy, fussy!!! This baby wants it her way, all the time, right now! She's really whiny and wants to be held a lot. She still likes me the most, but she's starting to like her dad a lot more. When she's not fussing, she's super sweet and loving. She likes to give kisses and snuggle. She has her own sense of humor and will laugh when the moment is right for her.

LOVES
sitting up
having her toys in an arc
splashing in the bath (she can sit up now!)
playing with her sister
yelling
her baby

DOESN'T LOVE
having to wait
falling over
getting dressed

What I want To Remember
her scrunched up nose when she smiles or gets mad
the way her back looks when she's sitting up
the sound of her yelling
her little voice when she tries to talk
getting on her hands and knees and rocking
trying to crawl
her slobbery kisses
