O is for closet Orphan : Fear

There are actually two things I fear when it comes to fashion. For the most part, there isn't much I won't try. I've been wearing red lipstick, skinny jeans, and mixed patterns for a long time now.

First off, I'm afraid of natural. Not that I normally wear a lot of make-up but there is something about wearing nothing that frightens me. I'm afraid that I will be judged more about being a young mom. Totally silly, I know. But when I don't put any make-up on I feel like a little girl.

There is just something about the finished product that I find comforting. Like I've actually taken the time and effort to make myself beautiful. It's weird.

My other fear is completely legit. Heels....... I love them, but they scare the crap out of me. Every single time  I wear them I get hurt. And, I have no idea how to walk in them. How do you do it?

Because I'm scared to wear them, all of these shoes sit in my closet. Also, I forgot I had this skirt and shirt. The shirt is extremely comfortable, and I look forward to wearing it again.

  3. I totally understand the fear of a bare face. Recently I have been trying to wear more natural makeup but I catch myself in the mirror and have a moment of "Is that me?!" since I'm so used to seeing myself more made up. It should be a challenge for us to more frequently wear less makeup.

    And the sparkle shoes? <3

  4. You look great with or without makeup. People can be such asshats when it comes to judging moms. If they don't focus on your age, they'll find something else because haters gonna hate. Ignore them because you are an awesome mom.

About heels: I am crazy good in heels but only with these tips: they have to fit, I think yours are a touch too big (gap at heel). Try an insole (there are kind just for heels) and look for shoes that fit snugly and also maybe with a strap (I wear a lot of mary jane style). I ballroom danced and with these tips could dance all night in super high heels. When I was younger. Sigh. I'm only 27 but those days seem far away, lol.

    1. Thanks Tanya. It really means a lot to hear you say that. Story likes me, and my make-up, with or without, and that's all that matters :)

Yeah, I have an extremely hard time finding heels that fit. I actually have inserts in them, and they are still too big. I have one pair that almost fit, and they have a strap. I can probably wear them for a few hours without being in pain. High heeled boots are the best though! But I walk really loudly. Like when we're at the store, you can here my steps echoing. Haha

Ballroom dancing sounds like so much fun! Do you still do it?

  6. Wow, you have some high heels! You could try a lower heel to practice walking/balancing in them. Heels are tricky, but worth it!

    1. Oh I know! They are ridiculously high. The last pair were on sale, and in my size. So I couldn't pass them up. I have a few that have lower heels and straps. I'm better in them, but I definitely need to practice more.

  7. There are some heels I could walk in all day and pairs that I can walk in for like 3 seconds. Totally depends on the shoe! Also, I really have to concentrate. It's kind of annoying sometimes.

You are so beautiful, by the way! I love that up close picture.
